Microsoft signed a deal to remove to permanently remove 3.3 million metric tons of carbon dioxide with Swedish energy company Stockholm Exergi, the companies announced on Monday. The contract with Microsoft is the world's largest carbon removal deal to date, Stockholm Exergi said in a statement. Carbon dioxide released from those materials during incineration will be removed from the gas emitted from the plant, liquified for transport and permanently stored underground. Stockholm Exergi is selling carbon removal certificates, equivalent to 1 million metric tons of carbon dioxide, to help companies achieve their net-zero emissions goals. "Leveraging existing biomass power plants is a crucial first step to building worldwide carbon removal capacity," said Brian Marrs, Microsoft's senior director of energy and carbon removal, in a statement.

Citi's wealth unit has seen at least 11 senior execs exit since Merrill Lynch veteran Sieg joined in September. The latest departure is David Bailin, chief investment officer for the global wealth division, who announced his departure on Monday. Sieg's mandate is to turn around the wealth business, which was barely profitable this past quarter. Sieg also plans to expand Citi's already successful wealth business in Asia. Seventy-five years ago this past week, Sam Snead won the Masters Tournament and became the first champion to receive one of Augusta National Golf Club’s green jackets. Since the start of the month, Lottie Woad has captured the Augusta National Women’s Amateur. More than 30 past Masters winners gathered for dinner to honor Jon Rahm, last year’s champion, and Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player and Tom Watson hit tee shots to start this year’s tournament. On Sunday, someone — perhaps someone new, perhaps someone already admitted to the locker room reserved for past champions — will win the 88th Masters. So, I tested popular apps with VR workouts like Supernatural, Litesport, Xponential+, FitXR, and Les Mills XR Bodycombat. The Supernatural VR app combined beautiful surroundings with full-body workoutsI worked out while wearing my Meta Quest 3 VR headset. The app's music library set it apart from the other VR workout apps I've tried, many of which didn't have recognizable songs. Many of the workout apps I tried tapped into my competitive drive by creating a video-game-like environment. The next time I feel unmotivated to work out, I might try a VR exercise app.
